This simply says it all for me.
As we finish up our first year as homeschoolers, I’ve been thinking a great deal about what I could do differently next year. I’ve been thinking about goals for myself and for my little women.
I could spend my days grooming them for the Ivy League. I could push and push and push them to excel in things that may not be interested in for the sake of being well rounded. I could drill them, force mastery of subjects they may never use. I could spend all my time focusing on preparing them for the future with out giving much thought to the joy and happiness and experience of being in the present moment.
Or I could just love them and encourage them and enjoy them on this journey of learning together.
Such a simple choice. 🙂
“What day is it?”
“It’s today,” squeaked Piglet.
My favorite day,” said Pooh.”
