The first official park day of spring is something homeschool moms look forward to all winter. It’s an opportunity to get out in the fresh air, catch up with old friends from our local homeschool group and meet new members.
It’s time to come out of hibernation! And we all know how much I like to hide in the winter.
It was still cold enough for winter coats and hats, but that didn’t matter much. Here are my little women with a couple of new friends, hanging out by the side of the pond, feeding (and taunting) the geese.
In case you’re wondering, I DID have on goose-kicking shoes, just in case.
They had a beautiful day playing in the playground, rolling down hills and talking back to geese. outside. And I found myself with three other women discussing how desperately we missed eating all kinds of cheese.
Clearly, I’ve found my tribe. And so have my girls.
By the time we returned to the car, my fingers and toes were numb from the cold, but there were smiles all around.
