The following video is of Sir Ken Robinson. It is informative, entertaining and absolutely worth taking the time to listen closely to the end.
He talks about how curiosity is the engine of leaning, but our model of education at this time is about compliance instead. Are U.S. schools doing the opposite of what is proven to work better elsewhere?
I love that he recognizes teaching as creative profession and not merely a delivery service. Additionally, he talks a bit about the tremendous benefits of individualized learning, but if you are a homeschooler, you already know this!
