Have you ever felt like you’ve fallen into a place where time moves more quickly? As if some outside force hit the fast-forward button on your life?
I’ve been there lately. So rather than go in deep, and tell you all about the changes (it’s all good), I’ve decided to share snaps of things going on around here.
We’ve been working on upcoming reviews:
Last year we reviewed the elementary level Greek Mythology course from Memoria Press, this year, we have the full middle / high school level to work through and review.
The Iliad and Odyssey: Books, Workbooks, Teacher Guides and Instructional DVDs.
And here’s a first attempt at a new art program we are trying out this month:
Lighthouse in chalk pastel.
This was created using chalk pastels. Look for my review of Creating a Masterpiece, coming up in two weeks.
The Princess has been learning about Norse Mythology at our co-op this past year. They are finishing up their study by creating their own Runes using clay. She chose to paint them pearly white and sparkly gold:
Handmade runes.
The Princess suddenly wanted to play Pokémon Go again, after a very long break. Since it was bitter cold, we went for a drive instead of walking and ended up catching a beautiful sunset and a family of deer crossing through the nature preserve. Of course, my camera didn’t capture the deer or the full colors of the sunset, but I tried.

A pink sunset on a frigid February evening.
The field, just after the deer passed by.
She was able to find a few new Pokémon too, in case you were wondering!
I’m assuming that time will slow down over the next weeks, as we move away from old things and winter towards new, happy things and spring. When we have a chance to hit pause, I’ll be back to share it all. 🙂
