The beauty of the iPhone camera is that it’s always in your back pocket. The downside? It may not be as versatile as your good camera (you know, the one with the special bag and the lenses that cost you the equivalent of a Caribbean vacation).
Before I say anymore, you should know that I am not a real photographer. When I started working for a local news outlet as a reporter, I was told that I needed to improve my photography skills – a lot – in order to keep my job.
Whenever I could manage it, I would hand my camera off to my husband. My editor would consistently comment that’s more like it! I’d fess up. I improved over time, but a nice shot takes a huge effort. What I’m trying to tell you is this – Dave is naturally a great photographer, but unless we are on vacation or I take out my work camera, he only has his iPhone.
It’s often enough, but being able to do more would be great, right?
To show him how much we love his photography, the girls and I bought him the Ollo Clip for his birthday. It’s a fish-eye, wide angle and macro lens (all-in-one) that clips onto the iPhone.
Below are some of my favorite images that he created with the Ollo Clip. He may have edited the images further using various apps or Instagram filters. I honestly can’t tell.
- Rose
- Celestite Crystal
- Amethyst
- Eyeball
- Jeep from above
- White Flower
- Moth
- The Ollo Clip for iPhone
- Sundial
- Pink flower
